Grandma and Grandpa Nielson arrived a couple of days before graduation, and we decided to go down to Norfolk and see some sites. Tanner and I have lived in the area for 3 years and only been down to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area a couple of times. We decided to take a tour of the Norfolk Naval Base a.k.a Home of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. It was a really interesting tour, and we even got to see the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Enterprise.
Clark also discovered that Grandma has really cool sunglasses. He was pretty careful with them the first day, but a few days later, he broke them :-( Sorry Grandma!
After the tour of the naval base, we drove over to where they have docked the Battleship Wisconsin in the harbor. We were able to board the ship and see into most of the rooms. We had a lot of fun running around on it and it was really interesting to learn that it fought in the first gulf war. It has since been decommissioned, but it is constantly maintained so it can be recalled anytime to go back out to battle.
After our military themed day, we drove over to Virginia Beach, and Tanner and his parents popped out of the car while I stayed with a sleeping Clark in the car to check out the beach. After we got back, we met up with my parents who had driven up from North Carolina and went to a pre-graduation dinner in honor of Tanner. It was a fun day!!

So we can see that Clark has the "cool" gene.
So I finally found your blog! It took me awhile after your comment on mine, but I knew you must be on blogger since there is only one Cherylyn!
I love reading about what you've been up to. And as if it's a spot to envy, the blog is defintely worthy of a spot on the links list (okay, really it's just so I'll remember how to get here again!)
