Advent Bribery

So, one of the ways Mel and I figured we could keep the kids happy while not overtly bribing them was by putting special treats or activities in the advent calendar every day. I woke up on Tuesday and was in the mood for some donuts, and since Melanie was so kind to point out exactly where the Dunkin Donuts was by her house, that was the advent treat for the day. First, we took Tru to his swimming lesson...I guess only in Connecticut is it normal to have swimming lessons when it's 20 degrees outside, but at least it was indoors! The kids were great while we waited for Tru, so on the way home, we stopped off and got our donuts. As you can see, they could barely contain themselves to take a picture before diving in.
